Our golf event is the main fundraiser each year. We had some new faces last year, and it was another great day. The details to reserve your spot and sponsorship opportunities can be found below.
Event Details:
- Exclusive invitation to attend the Steven M Perez Foundation “EL Rey Banana” Golf Outing
- 9:30 registration opens / gourmet breakfast. Gourmet breakfast buffet at the Brookville Country Club
- Access to the golf range and putting greens before teeing off
- 11:15 Shot-gun start of 18 championship holes of golf at Brookville Country Club with a caddy per foursome
- Food, drinks, BBQ, and snacks throughout the course
- Broad array of competitions featured throughout the day, including $10,000 for a hole-in-one
- 5:00 Award Ceremony featuring Cocktails, Hors d’ oeuvres, and Dinner after the round
- Silent Auction and Raffle featuring foursomes, sports memorabilia, gourmet dinners, and luxurious getaways
Please donate $550 per player or $2,200 per foursome to purchase tickets.

Thank you for your continued support over the past 21 years. We are excited to announce the 21st Annual “El Rey Banana” 2024 Golf Outing will take place on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at the Brookville Country Club in Brookville, NY.
The past golf outings have been the Foundation’s major fundraising events of the year. We have raised over $100,000 at each event to help promote awareness about leukemia and other related cancers while at the same time providing scholarships and a great camp experience to other deserving leukemia patients or their surviving children and siblings. Our success directly correlates to your sponsorship, generosity, and participation, and we are extremely grateful for your support.
The Steven M. Perez Foundation was founded to commemorate the life and lifestyle of Steven Perez. Steven was a special person who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being with his friends and family. On August 4, 2003, Steven lost his 49-day battle with leukemia, but his spirit continues to live in all the lives he touched in his brief 29 years. The goal of the Steven M. Perez Foundation continues to be to help patients and families who have been directly or indirectly affected by leukemia and other related cancers. Funds raised in his name will continue to be invested in helping ensure fewer patients and their families are affected by these devastating diseases and those that do can live their lives to the fullest.
Our golf event and silent auction is a great way for corporate and private sponsors to contribute and help raise funds to make a difference for this important cause. Our sponsors and silent auction partners will have the opportunity to showcase their companies, products, and services to approximately 250 attendees. Our supporters have been very generous in the past, and we have had great success marketing your businesses and products, particularly to those who live in the New York City area.
